Probably our last race for 2015. The DHRA Drachten Finals in August. We hoped for good weather but another rained out Sunday. Again no eliminations and at 03:00 PM the race was officialy cancelled.
Saturday however we were able to race until 10:00 PM and Gerrit made it to Top Qualifier again in Street Eliminator. (Burnout photo by Jeroen Dondorp)
With the Firebird we went to the 2015 Jade Race in Wilhelmshaven (Germany) were Gerrit ran some very consistent runs in the Street Eliminiator Class. He made it to Top Qualifier on Saturday. Due to rain the Eliminations on Sunday were cancelled.
Please have a look on the video page of our website and scroll down to wacth a video of the winning run.
Friday Aug. 15th we took both of the team cars to Drachten Airfield for the DHRA Internationals. We arrived early and built our camp next to team Warhorse. Saturday we were able to race until 10:00 PM on a well prepped track.
Frank won in Wild Street with the Fiero and Gerrit was 2nd in the Street Eliminators with the Firebird. He lost the final to Richard Minderhoud in his ’67 Firebird. Well done, Rich.
Despite the rain on Sunday afternoon it was another great race weekend. Thanks to the hard working DHRA crew, the Selles bro’s and Michael Behrens (track preppers), and the many teams who made the trip to Drachten. Hope to see you again soon.
Thanks to Sietse Visser (Dutchdragracephotos) for some of the nice shots.
LowlandsXtreme will be present with both cars on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th. July
Frank will drive the Fierce Fiero
Gerrit will drive the red ’79 Firebird in street trim.
Since rain spoiled our Test & Tune efforts during the American Sunday at Zandvoort we will do some T&T at Hildesheim Airport on Saturday May 17th. Just to make sure the Fiero is in perfect condition for the upcoming FIA Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway.

After a busy racing season we went to the UK to race at the European Finals at Santa POd Raceway in the UK. This was our chance to see how fast the Fiero runs on a good track. Until now we ran the engine with just 35% of the 250 shot Nitrous and with a good track we had the chance to turn up the bottle.
A new PB was established. Happy Frank, crew and fans. A slow motion of this run can be found in the video section of this website.
Frank qualified 9th. in Super Comp and in the first round of eliminations he lost to Paul Brown. Well done, Paul. Racing was over for Saturday and Sunday which gave us plenty of time to watch the other race cars and the races.
All good things come to an end. Back to the Ferry at Harwich
We will be back in 2014.
We will be out of the Office next week.
